The iconic Spaghetti junction has been servicing Brum since it was opened in 1972, by the then Environment Secretary, Peter Walker.

Work started in 1968 and was formally called The Gravelly Hill Interchange later a journalist from the Birmingham Evening Mail called it Spaghetti junction in the 1970s.
